     Our country also surpassed these destinations in number of hotel rooms available in 2006, reaching more than 60.000.

     Beyond an all-inclusive experience
     The widely known all inclusive vacation packages are now evolving towards a five-star vacation experience.  The number of visitors coming to the Dominican Republic for pleasure, business or to live is increasing every day as well.

     In addition, the Dominican Republic has undergone a larger increase in economic growth over the last two years than it did in the last decade, due mostly to our transparent legal framework and political stability.  Likewise, the quality of life and the infrastructure have improved significantly thanks to the efforts of the current government in the construction of highways, ports and airports.

     The growing construction and availability of vacation homes and tourism complexes, comprised of condominiums for rent and sale, have strengthened the tourism industry and created variety.  Projects such as Cap Cana, Roco ki, Grupo Punta Cana, Ocean world, Casa de Campo, Sea Horse Ranch and others are only a few of the numerous succes stories.
